Character Montessori understands the challenges faced by most parents, especially for the first-born baby.
Beginning of Motherhood
Having to cope with the needs of the newborns can be overwhelming for young parents too.
Adapting to physical changes to becoming a mother is already a milestone. The responsibility of taking care of the little ones needs time and patience. The lack of having the proper and adequate resources to bring up the child may also be one factor to consider.
What is Infant Care?
At Character Montessori, our infant care services provide care for babies from two months old.
We begin by showering them with love and attention. We sing songs to them so they get used to listening to words. Besides keeping them clean and assuring them of a safe environment; we engage with them in different Character Montessori’s methodologies to promote their emotional growth.

We stoke their natural curiosity and constantly nurture their desire to learn new things every day.
We keep an update of their progress and introduce new activities to increase their intellective development.

Toddlers go through an incredible brain growth speed, resulting in them becoming more aware of their surroundings, including the people around them! Because of this, toddlers might not be able to adapt when they start attending playgroups at 19-months. Hence, to ensure a smooth transition for both parents and child, we have developed a Todd-To-Playgroup Integration Programme. Our Educarers are trained to implement these lesson plans so that every infant’s progress is well planned as well as intentionally and effectively executed.
Our Educarers are attentive to every little need, habit & preference of each individual baby and thus build strong loving bonds with them.
Montessori Equipment
Character Montessori knows what materials are useful for infants. Our Montessori teachers knows how and when to use appropriate tools for the child.
The unique Montessori materials offer endless age-appropriate opportunities to explore, engage and satisfy each infant’s drive for learning every step of the way
Founding Director
Grace Yong
Grace holds a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education. She has more than 30 years’ experience in working with children. She is trained in music (piano) and is a certified trainer in thinking skills (Buzan Licensed Instructor) and character education.
She created the program and the curriculum in Character Montessori. She also authored 30 character-based readers used in the center’s reading program for 4 – 6 year old children.
It is her dream to lay strong research-based staff training methodology for the preschool-sector.
Being a mother of four sons, Grace Yong is emphatic about the importance of quality education for children and thus became one of the first in Asia to introduce Mind Mapping to preschoolers with a mission to raise the quality of schooling available for infants and young children.
After receiving amazing feedback, it has now evolved into our flagship Character Development Program.
